Ask what a massage costs and the answer is one number. Ask what a layover massage cost will actually be and the answer is a small spreadsheet, because a layover has other expenses sitting quietly beside the booking: a room, sometimes a transfer, and the one resource no receipt shows, which is time you could have spent asleep. This note adds all of it up, so that the decision is made on the whole stop rather than on the hourly figure alone.
The fare itself
The part we control is simple and published. One hour is EUR 180. Ninety minutes is EUR 270. Two hours is EUR 360 and three hours is EUR 540, which is to say the rate per hour does not change as the booking grows. Past three hours, each further hour adds another EUR 180. The rate is the same at four in the afternoon and four in the morning.
Two therapists together are EUR 360 an hour, so two hours with a pair is EUR 720 and three hours is EUR 1,080. The four-hand format is the usual reason people choose it, and it tends to suit a longer window rather than a short one.
The overnight arithmetic
The eight-hour overnight is EUR 1,250. Eight hours booked one at a time would come to EUR 1,440, so the block saves EUR 190. That is the only place on the ladder where the line bends, and it bends downward. It is also where travellers most often talk themselves into a purchase they cannot use.
The saving only exists if you would otherwise have booked the eight hours. On a layover that ends in a dawn departure, you probably would not. Four hours at EUR 720 from ten in the evening is often the better buy than an overnight that must start at eight to finish before the alarm. Do the sum against the hours you will genuinely be awake for, not against the block.
Layover massage cost at the airport end
For rooms in central Amsterdam, the fare is the whole story. For hotels at Schiphol and in the towns around it, bookings are arranged rather than dispatched on a standing window, and the reply to your first message states the total for that address along with the start time. You see the figure before you say yes. There is nothing to discover at the door, because the number you confirm is the number you pay.
The costs that are not ours
A layover booking needs a room, and the room is the largest variable. It is worth thinking about in the right terms.
- A day room near the terminal is sold by a block of hours. Its value is not only the session: it is a shower before the next flight, a bed to lie flat on, and a door that closes on the terminal.
- An overnight room is simply a hotel night, and on a long layover it is often the most sensible money spent on the whole trip.
- A room in the city adds a transfer each way and the margin you hold for the return, both of which cost time as well as fares.
We do not sell rooms and cannot quote them, but the principle is useful: the room is shared by everything you do on the stop, so do not charge all of it against the massage.
The cost nobody prices: minutes
On a layover, time is the real currency. Every hour you book is an hour not spent sleeping, eating or queueing at security with a comfortable margin. That is why the cheapest booking is not always the best value. An hour that ends ninety minutes before you must leave for the gate, with a shower in between, is money well spent. Two hours that end in a sprint to the pier are not, whatever they cost.

Paying in transit
Nothing is paid in advance. Settlement happens once she is at the door, and a traveller can use whatever is to hand: cash in any major currency, which is taken at the day's exchange rate, or a card, or crypto. For someone landing from a long sector with a wallet full of another country's notes, that removes a trip to an exchange counter and the margin those counters take.
Three worked examples
- Six hours, day room, onward long-haul tonight. Ninety minutes at EUR 270, finished well before you leave the room. Add the day room. Total spend on the stop: the room plus EUR 270, and a shower before boarding.
- Overnight layover, afternoon departure tomorrow. Two hours at EUR 360 in the evening, a full night's sleep, a slow morning. Or the overnight at EUR 1,250 if you want the whole night to be the booking.
- Eleven hours, room in the city. An hour at EUR 180 between a walk and dinner, with the transfer costs and an hour of margin on either side counted honestly.
In every case, the booking is the easy part of the arithmetic. The price list holds every rung, and the reply to your message confirms the exact total before anything is agreed.
