Two kinds of overnight stop
Some overnight layovers are chosen: the only onward connection leaves in the morning, so you booked a room near Schiphol and planned an evening. Others are imposed: the inbound was late, the connection left without you, and the airline has produced a hotel voucher and a departure at 07:40. The difference shapes the booking. A planned stop can be arranged days ahead, with a specific therapist and a start fitted to your arrival. An imposed one begins the moment you learn which hotel you have been sent to. Either way the room will be near the runway, the night will be longer than anything else in your itinerary, and the question is the same: how do you want to spend it?
