The dawn arrival problem
Overnight flights from North America, Africa and parts of Asia bring a large wave of passengers into Schiphol in the early morning. Most of them slept badly, if at all. Hotel check-in is normally hours away, meetings may start at ten, and the next flight, for those connecting, may leave at noon. The traveller is too tired to go sightseeing and too awake to sleep in a chair. A room held from arrival, a shower, and a session placed at the right moment can turn that dead morning into something useful.
