Her street is one of the narrow ones west of the water, where the lamps stay on all night and nobody asks what you are doing out in it. Guests who book her at three find no trace of someone recently woken; the composure is already in place by the time the lift doors open. French came first and English came later, and she moves between them without making an event of it. An hour covers the evening before a flight, but the whole night is the booking she would rather have.
