Most first-time guests are not worried about the session itself. They are worried about the parts around it: whether the reply will come, what they have to pay and when, how the therapist's arrival at reception works, what to do with the room, how to say goodbye. Those are practical questions with practical answers, and knowing them in advance takes most of the nervousness away. The sections below follow a typical booking at an airport hotel from the first message to the moment the door closes behind her.
What to expect from a Schiphol hotel massage before you write
Three things are worth settling before you open WhatsApp. First, the room: a session happens only in a room you have booked yourself, on the landside of the airport, never in a lounge or behind security. Second, the timing: know when the room is yours and, if you are flying, when you must leave. Third, a rough idea of length and format. None of these needs to be perfect. If you are unsure between ninety minutes and two hours, say so, and the office will help. But a message that already contains a hotel, a time and a length gets an answer much faster than one that only says hello.
The first message and the reply
Write to the booking line on WhatsApp, or on Telegram if you prefer. Give the hotel or area, the start you would like, the length, and anything fixed, such as a flight. You can name a therapist from the profiles, or describe what you want and choose from the names in the reply. The reply lists who is free, a confirmed start and the total price. If your first choice is not available, the reply offers an alternative rather than leaving you waiting. You are free to ask questions at this stage: about languages, about the format, about the room. Nothing is fixed until you confirm.
The deposit
For every booking at an airport hotel, and for every first booking with the house, half of the price is sent ahead once the office confirms. That half goes by card, Revolut, Wise or crypto, using details posted in the confirmed thread and nowhere else. PayPal is refused for the deposit, as is any bank transfer. For one hour with one therapist, EUR 180, the deposit is EUR 90. A ninety-minute booking at EUR 270 carries a deposit of EUR 135. The therapist sets out once the deposit has arrived. If the booking is cancelled later, what is kept depends on the notice you give, on the scale the cancellation policy sets out.
Waiting for her
Use the time to prepare the room. Turn the heating up a little, because oil work needs warmth. Clear the bed and the floor around it, put your suitcase on the rack, and lay out two towels. Take a shower. Put your valuables, passport and boarding pass together somewhere tidy. Keep the phone on loud and near you, because she will message when she reaches the lobby. If you are tired, stay out of bed; the most common hitch at airport hotels is a guest who fell asleep while waiting. If anything changes, such as a room number or a delay, write in the same thread.
Her arrival at the hotel
She arrives in ordinary clothes with an ordinary bag, looking like any other visitor to an airport hotel. Most properties near Schiphol use key cards for the lifts, so the usual routine is that she messages from the lobby, you go down, and you ride up together. Where the building allows it and you have given the room number, she may come straight up. A few hotels ask evening visitors to give a name at reception, which takes seconds. Reception staff at airport hotels see visitors at every hour and do not ask questions. You do not need to explain anything to anyone.
The first few minutes in the room
Expect a relaxed start. She will say hello, put her bag down, and ask a couple of simple questions: how the flight was, whether anything aches, whether you have any preferences. This is also the moment to settle the balance, so that the rest of the session has nothing practical left in it. Then she will take a moment to prepare, and the session begins at the time agreed. If English is not your first language, speak slowly and simply; every therapist on the roster speaks English, and many speak other languages as well.
Paying the balance
The balance, the half not covered by the deposit, is settled at the door or at the start of the session. The price is in euro; it can be paid by card, in crypto, or in cash, and cash in another major currency is fine at the exact amount confirmed to you in writing before she sets out. Travellers often use the notes left over from the country they just flew from, which is perfectly fine. Nothing is added for the hour, the airport or the day of the week, and the amount is exactly what the thread said.
During the session
What happens in the session depends on the format you chose, and the therapist leads it. You do not need to know anything in advance or to do anything special. If something is uncomfortable, too warm, too cold, too firm, say so, and it will be adjusted. If you would like the session to be quieter or more talkative, say that too. The therapist keeps track of the time, so there is no need to look at the clock. She may end a session at once if her safety or her limits are not respected, and in that case the fee for the reserved time stays due, with nothing added to it; with ordinary courtesy that never arises.
Ending on time
Sessions end at the agreed time. If you would like to extend, ask a little before the end. Whether it is possible depends on her next booking, and any extra time is paid at the same hourly rate. If you have a flight, do not extend unless the extra time was already part of your plan. After the session there is usually a few minutes for a shower and for her to get ready to leave. Then she goes, the same way she came, and you are left with a warm room and the rest of your evening.
What to expect from a Schiphol hotel massage afterwards
Many guests are surprised by how tired they feel after the session, especially after a long flight. That is normal. Drink water, shower properly, particularly after oil, and give yourself at least twenty minutes before doing anything demanding. If you are flying the next morning, go to bed early. If you are flying the same day, leave for the terminal at the time you planned before the session, not later. The thread stays on your phone; you are free to delete it, or to keep it for your next trip, when a single message will be enough to book the same therapist again.
Things that are not part of it
A few points that first-time guests sometimes wonder about. There is no travel fee and no night supplement. The therapist does not need to meet anyone other than you. There is no membership to join. Nobody under 21 is booked. Sessions do not happen in public areas, spas, lounges or rooms you have not booked yourself. And there is no pressure to tip, although some guests choose to; the journal note on tipping covers what is usual.
If something goes wrong
Most problems are small and solved in the thread. A therapist delayed in traffic will message you. A room change is one message. A late inbound flight can often be absorbed by moving the start a little, if her evening allows. A booking can be moved once to another date within fourteen days if you ask more than twenty-four hours before the start. A cancellation is measured on the notice scale: nothing is kept with more than a day to go, half the deposit inside the last day, and all of it once she has set out. And a false booking, made under a false name, from someone else's number or as a joke, goes into a short internal note and may be reported to the police, which is why honest guests never need to think about it.
In short
Send a complete message. Wait for the reply before doing anything else. Pay the deposit when the booking is confirmed. Prepare the room and wait with the phone on. Meet her in the lobby, settle the balance at the start, and let her lead the session. Shower, drink water and rest afterwards. That is the whole experience, and after the first time most guests find it simpler than booking a table at a restaurant. The booking page summarises the same steps in a shorter form.
