Two or three questions at the door and then no more, in whichever of her two languages tires the guest least. There is a calm about her that belongs to somebody a good deal older than twenty-six, and a directness under it that never tips into brusqueness. Overnight is hers by preference rather than exception, and the Schiphol hotels can be arranged on enquiry.
Danica decides which bookings she takes and may decline any of them; she sets the limits for what a session includes, says what they are, and may end a visit at any point, as the terms set out.

Booking Danica
One message with the hotel, the room, the hour and the length. The confirmation comes back inside ten minutes with a name and a time, and the name is the one you asked for or, if she is taken, you hear so before anything is fixed.
Her answer
If she takes that hour, the reply confirms a time. If she is not free, the reply says so plainly, and whether to choose someone else is up to you.
She knocks
The balance is paid on arrival by card, in crypto, or in cash; prices are in euro, and any other currency is taken at the exact amount confirmed in writing before she sets out. The hour starts when the door closes.
