A body clock that runs late is a useful thing to have in a city where half the guests are still keeping hours set six time zones to the west. The trip to a hotel near Dam Square or Leidseplein takes almost no time, and the small hours are when the corridors are empty and nobody is due anywhere. English, an easy manner, and no interest in filling a silence that does not need filling. Hours, half-nights and full nights, and four in the morning is treated as an ordinary time to begin one.
Harper decides which bookings she takes and may decline any of them; she sets the limits for what a session includes, says what they are, and may end a visit at any point, as the terms set out.

If she takes that hour, the reply confirms a time. If she is not free, the reply says so plainly, and whether to choose someone else is up to you.
She knocks
The balance is paid on arrival by card, in crypto, or in cash; prices are in euro, and any other currency is taken at the exact amount confirmed in writing before she sets out. The hour starts when the door closes.
