Funny in a dry, undemanding way. She can tell the difference between a guest who wants to unwind and one who would rather be left in peace with the work being done. A hotel near the Dam or Rembrandtplein takes her almost no time to reach, even once the trams have stopped for the night. English is all she offers, and by that hour it is all anybody has the energy to use. Hours through to overnights, booked by message and confirmed in about ten minutes, whatever the clock says.

One message with the hotel, the room, the hour and the length. The confirmation comes back inside ten minutes with a name and a time — and the name is the one you asked for.
On WhatsApp, naming Lucy, the hotel, the room number, the hour and how long. If the hotel is at the airport, say so.
If she is free for that hour we come back with a time. If she is not, we say so rather than sending somebody else in her place.
Payment on arrival: cash in any major currency at the day's rate, card, or crypto. The hour starts when the door closes.
